  • Donna Hughes

If a person is a product of their environment, then Donna Hughes was destined to be an artist. If a person is predetermined by heredity, then Donna was fated to be an artist. If education makes us what we are, then Donna pursued and accomplished the path of an artist. Donna grew up in New York City surrounded by art museums, architecture, and artists. Her first memory of her father, Vincent Cassaro, was behind an easel, painting commissions. Under her father's tutelage, she seemed a prodigy at the age of ten. This collection exhibits her great strength in the understanding of color and composition.

"For me, painting is more than a passion! There always has been an internal desire to recreate the beauty around me."  - Donna Hughes
